Overview of Feature Enhancements and Bug Fixes in the eTools Major Upgrade (September 26, 2024).
General
Enhancement

Access Management Portal
Enhancement
- Added a feature that allows external users to update their job descriptions directly in the Access Management Portal (AMP).
Action Points
Enhancement
- Display the full Action Point reference in the list view
- End-users can attach the supporting documents required for closing Action Points. A new attachment field labeled "Supporting Document" is now available for High Priority Action Points.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved the system error that was preventing the download of Action Points from the Action Point module.
Field Monitoring
Enhancements
- Staff assigned as Report Reviewer can now either APPROVE or SEND BACK a report without requiring the PME role in eTools.
- Added a radio button on the planning page to mark remote monitoring, allowing COs to easily track and differentiate between remote and in-person monitoring activities.
- Introduced an asterisk (*) next to mandatory fields such as start date, end date, date of visit, and mandatory questions like the HACT 3 questions to indicate required fields.
- Updated the Report Reviewer feature to prevent users from assigning themselves and to allow adding two reviewers for cases requiring multiple approvals.
- Renamed "Overall Finding" to "General Observations."
- End-users can now see clearly "General Observations" under the Partner tab on the Key Informant Interview page.
- The ability to export visits has been introduced, enabling staff to conduct further analysis.
- Introduced an option for colleagues to mark "No Action Point," which will activate the continue button only after it is selected.
- Added filters to the FM Action Points, allowing users to display only active Programme Documents (PDs) and active outputs, similar to the functionality in the planning stage.
- Improved readability by enhancing the font size, making the content clearer and easier to read.
Financial Assurance
Enhancements
- Implemented segregation of duties in the High Priority Action Point module to prevent the same person from both creating and closing an action point.
- Added a remark emphasizing the use of USD currency when recording financial findings and reporting follow-ups in the Follow-Up tab of the FAM module (Audit and SC reports).
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where low-priority observations from spot checks were incorrectly reported under "Summary of High Priority Observations" during spot check finalization.
- Resolved an issue where the Financial Findings table in the Follow-Up tab was read-only and missing labels after the engagement was finalized.
- The sorting function by partner name and audit firm now working as expected.
Partnership Management Portal
Enhancements
- Only staff with the PRC Secretary role in eTools can cancel a Programme, whereas previously, this permission was granted to the Partnership Manager role.
- Improved User Experience on Mobile.
- UNICEF staff can add a short comment when accepting quarterly progress reports and final reports. This comment field has a limit of 50 characters.
- Regular and final reports showed the same rating. Final reports now correctly display "Achieved as planned" or "Not achieved as planned."
- The PCA generation instructions have been updated to remove the section "Activities involving Children and Young People."
- The default mode for invalid attachments is now set to be toggled off and hidden when the document is first opened.
Bug Fixes
- Planned Programme Visits (PVs) for canceled PDs are no longer calculated or displayed.
