What are the benefits of using LMSM?
LMSM provides real-time tracking of supplies, reduces manual data entry, and offers comprehensive analytics for better decision-making. It is a reporting system for UNICEF implementing partners to report on supplies to UNICEF.
Who uses LMSM?
UNICEF Implementing Partners (IPs) : Governments and CSOs handling UNICEF Programme supplies.
Where does the information come from?
LMSM uses information from both country-level users (Country Offices and Implementing Partners) and UNICEF's Supply Division. UNICEF’s SAP (Vision) fuels the LMSM app with incoming shipment data, reducing manual data entry. LMSM users then track every movement of supplies within the supply chain using the LMSM app. The dashboard (Power BI) displays information extracted from Vision and the LMSM app.
How often should Implementing Partners update supply movements?
Supply movements should be updated every time supplies are moved to ensure accurate information. For best results, the frequency of updates should align with existing stock management practices.
Does stock level data from the warehouses automatically upload to LMSM?
Yes, data from LMSM app is refreshed every 30 minutes into the analytics (the dashboard). Note that data from VISION is pushed into LMSM twice a day.
What is the cost of implementation for Government, for CSOs ?
There is no cost for using LMSM for Implementing Partners (IPs). An online training program is available at no additional cost.
Who has access to the information in the dashboard ?
Access to the information is restricted to UNICEF staff from Supply Division and Country Offices. Implementing Partners can only access data specific to their own organization.
How secure is the data in LMSM?
LMSM employs robust security measures to ensure that all data is protected and only accessible to authorized personnel.
What kind of support is available for LMSM users?
In addition to the platform for user support, users can access online training programs and support from their Country Office focal points. Additionally, a helpdesk is available for technical assistance, and users can raise a request form on eTools LMSM module.
Can LMSM be used offline?
LMSM requires an internet connection to update and sync data. An offline option will be developed in the future.
Implementation questions
I have forgotten my password, how do I recover it or create a new one?
In case a user forgets their password, users can click on the link 'I forgot my Password' and follow the instructions.
If it is not functioning, the user can raise a request form and the country office will support to create a new password.
I have uploaded and saved data in LMSM. I note that there is an error. How do I correct it?
Users should raise a Request Form by clicking on the SUPPORT link in the LMSM app, which will direct them to the support platform. The request will then be sent to the appropriate UNICEF Country Office via its dedicated shared email address.
If there are any errors that need resolution or reversal, the Country Office will escalate the issue to HQ. HQ will then support the reversal of the transaction through the ticket opened on the Request Form.
We have received a delivery, but we cannot find the Waybill in the LMSM solution to allow us to Check-in the consignment.

We have a new staff member who should be added as a user.
Partner should raise a request form. Unicef country focal point who will facilitate the creation of a new user account and support with training if need be.
We have noticed that some of our locations are not captured in the LMSM system.
The Implementing Partner should raise a Request Form by clicking on the SUPPORT link in the LMSM app, which will direct them to the support platform and submit the list of locations with correct GPS location details for each site in the form. The locations will then be added in the system. Partner will be informed through the ticket created once the process is completed.
